Biochem/physiol Actions

ZLN005 is a transcriptional regulator of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ coactivator-1α (PGC-1α). ZLN005 increased PGC-1 and downstream gene transcription in skeletal muscle, while reducing hepatic PGC-1α and gluconeogenesis genes. ZLN005 increased fat oxidation and improved the glucose tolerance, pyruvate tolerance, insulin sensitivity, hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia of diabetic db/db mice.
