General description

Cobalt(II) thiocyanate, also known as cobalt(II) rhodanide or cobalt isothiocyanate, is an inorganic coordination compound that is soluble in water and organic solvents. It can be used as a starting material for the preparation of other cobalt-containing materials and complexes.

Application

Cobalt(II) thiocyanate can be used as a precursor to synthesize single-chain magnetic coordination complexes.
