Application

Genapol X-100 has been used in a study to assess how detergents affect inhibitor potencies against cyclo-oxygenase isoforms. It has also been used in a study to investigate the solubilisation of the membrane-bound D-alanyl-D-alanine carboxypeptidase of Bacillus coagulans.

A case of a type 1 diabetic woman with auto-immune thyroiditis is reported, in whom repeated exposure to insulin containing Genapol(R) (polyethylen-polypropylenglycol) over 3 years reproducibly parallels with an increase of serum TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) above the normal limit. Previously
