General description

Clobetasone butyrate is a corticosteroid.[1]

Application

Clobetasone butyrate has been used as an internal standard for the quantitative assay of clobetasol propionate.[2]
Clobetasone butyrate has been used to analyze its bio-concentration factor (BCF) in Cyprinus carpio.[3]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Clobetasone butyrate is a potent topical corticosteroid and is primarily used to treat atopic dermatitis (AD).[4] Low dosage of this drug is used to treat dry eye in Sjogrens syndrome.[5]
