General description

Ciprofloxacins are classified under the fluoroquinolones group of antibiotics.

Application

Ciprofloxacin-d8 hydrochloride hydrate may be used to prepare ciprofloxacin-d8 that can be used as an internal standard for the determination of ciprofloxacin in:
  • Groundwater samples collected from cemetery areas, urban wastewater samples and dairy products by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) equipped with electrospray ionization (ESI) source and multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode of detection.
  • Hospital wastewater and chicken feces by LC-MS/MS.
