Application

Na2SiO3.9H2O can be used to prepare honeycomb porous silicon (hp-Si).[1] Sodium metasilicate nonahydrate combined with cobalt chloride (CoCl2. 6H2O) may be used to prepare Co3O4 nanoparticles.[2] The product may be used to impart flame retardant and antimicrobial properties in jute textiles.[3]
