General description

  • PCL-PEG-PCL triblock copolymer
  • Hydrolytically degradable PCL blocks
  • Acrylate functional groups permit photopolymerization
PCL-PEG-PCL diacrylate, average Mn 400-4000-400, is a functionalized, amphiphilic triblock copolymer composed of a central hydrophilic, biocompatible poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) block and two terminal hydrophobic, biodegradable poly(caprolactone) (PCL) blocks. PCL-PEG-PCL diacrylate can be crosslinked via free radical polymerization and/or photopolymerication to form a crosslinked hydrogel network. Hydrolysis of the esters of the PCL blocks permits degradation of the crosslinked networks.
