General description

Basolite(TM) Z1200 has a zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) constituted of metal ions and imidazolate anions. The structure of ZIF is analogous to that of silica-zeolites. ZIFs have high thermal stability.
Metal organic framework (MOF)
Zinc imidazolate frameworks (ZIF)
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Basolite®Z1200 (ZIF-8) based MOFs can be used in the fabrication of matrix membranes for gas separation processes such as hydrogen separation, and nitrogen recovery. They are also used as fillers in the formation of PDMS based membranes for solvent resistant nanofitration (SRNF). They are commercially utilized as porous materials for the absorption and sensing of pesticides.
Used for separations (paraffin isomers, alkanes), sensors, and gas adsorption (hydrogen gas)

Other Notes

can be activated at 100°C (vacuum)
