UMP-morpholidate serves as a key reactant in the Khorana-Moffatt procedure for synthesizing uridine diphosphate (UDP)-sugar nucleotides.Uridine 5′-monophosphomorpholidate 4-morpholine-N,N′-dicyclohexylcarboxamidine salt can be used for the synthesis of UDP-azido-GalNAc (uridine diphosphate N-azido acetylgalactosamine).
