General description

Monoclonal Anti-SNX6 (mouse IgA isotype) is derived from the hybridoma SNX6-76 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice.
SNX6 (sorting nexin 6) is a BACE1 (Β-site APP cleaving enzyme-1)-associated protein and a constituent of retromer. It belongs to the sorting nexin (SNX) family that has a PX (Phox homology) domain at its amino terminus and a BAR (Bin/amphiphysin/Rvc) domain at its carboxyl region. It is located on chromosome 14q13.

Application

Monoclonal Anti-SNX6 antibody produced in mouse has been used in immunoblotting and ELISA.

Biochem/physiol Actions

SNX6 (sorting nexin 6) helps in retrograde trafficking of the cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor (CI-MPR) and sortilin. Interaction of SNX6 with breast cancer metastasis suppressor-1 induces transcriptional repression. It helps in the synthesis of lamin A and its transportation to the nuclear envelope .

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
