General description

The Corning® 384-well microplate, low volume features a skirted, U-bottom design with white walls, made from white polystyrene material, that contributes to enhanced luminescent signals by reducing well-to-well crosstalk and minimizing background luminescence and fluorescence. Additionally, incorporation of the nonbinding surface (NBS) technology helps create a nonionic hydrophilic surface similar to polyethylene oxide, which effectively reduces protein and nucleic acid binding at low concentrations.

Application

Corning®384 well microplate is suitable for the assay signal-to-noise ratio.

Features and Benefits

  • It has a square well top that facilitates robotic pipetting
  • Rounded bottom to eliminate trapped air and boost the Z factor
  • Light cone-shaped conical well for better efficiency
  • White walls reduced fluorescence and crosstalk between wells during fluorescent experiments
  • Microplates have non-ionic hydrophilic surfaces due to nonbinding surface (NBS) technology treatment that reduces molecular interactions
  • Raised rim for better sealing
