General description

N,N′-Dibenzylethylenediamine, also known as DBED, is a donor ligand often used in the synthesis of coordination compounds and in the formation of stable metal complexes such as nickel (II) carboxylate complex.

Application

  • Ring-Opening Polymerization of rac-Lactide Catalyzed by Octahedral Nickel Carboxylate Complexes: Focuses on a complex involving N,N′-dibenzylethylenediamine as a syndioselective catalyst in polymer synthesis (A Nikiforov et al., 2023).

  • Synthesis, Crystal Structures and Catalytic Activities of Two Copper Coordination Compounds Bearing an N, N′-Dibenzylethylenediamine Ligand: Examines copper coordination compounds that incorporate N,N′-dibenzylethylenediamine and their structural and catalytic properties (C Liu et al., 2020).
