Cell Line Description

Derived from a normal fibroblast (1BR3 Sigma Catalogue number. 90011801) transformed with the plasmid pSV2neo. The genetic identity of 1BR3 (90011801), 1BR.3.G (90020507), 1BR.3.GN (90020508), and 1BR.3.N (90020509) has been confirmed by STR profiling at ECACC.

Culture Medium

EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
