General description

Androsterone is a tetracydic compound which forms mono-esters or mono-oxime with one hydroxyl group and one keto group respectively.

Application

Androsterone has been used as working reference standard in identifying natural androgen steroids using liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS–MS) in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) from bovine and urine samples.
