Trypsin solutions are less stable than lyophilized or powder form. Trypsin solution products, which are prepared at 0.25% in Hank's Balanced Salts with phenol red, are stored at -20°C and assigned a shelf life of approximately 2 years from the date of quality release. Solutions prepared in medium are expected to have similar stability. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and maintain the pH at a range of 7.0 - 7.6.
