일반 설명
Extracellular matrix protein 1 (ECM1) is a glycoprotein. It is expressed in skin and other tissues. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 1q21.2.

생화학적/생리학적 작용
Extracellular matrix protein 1 (ECM1) has a role in cell proliferation, mineralization and angiogenesis. The protein has been shown to have a role in cancer invasion and progression. It is associated with hepatocellular carcinoma. Mutations in the ECM1 gene have been linked to lipoid proteinosis. The protein also promotes the Warburg effect, which is an oncogenic switch that allows cancerous cells to take in more glucose than non-cancerous cells.

Bacterial efflux pumps are an important pathogenicity trait because they extrude a variety of xenobiotics. Our laboratory previously identified in silico Burkholderia collagen-like protein 8 (Bucl8) in the hazardous pathogens Burkholderia pseudomallei and Burkholderia mallei. We hypothesize that Bucl8, which

Extracellular matrix (ECM) components play an important role in maintaining skeletal muscle function, but excessive accumulation of ECM components interferes with skeletal muscle regeneration after injury, eventually inducing fibrosis.
