생화학적/생리학적 작용

Notchless protein homolog 1 (NLE1) is suggested to signal through NOTCH (neurogenic locus notch homolog protein) pathway. During embryo development in mouse, absence of NLE1 up-regulates CDKN1A (cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1) and down-regulates members of Wnt pathway. In addition, partial disruption of NLE1 increases apoptosis in the somites, thereby resulting in axial skeleton defects.
