Cytochrome P450 Microsome Preparation Human is recombinant and expressed in S. cervisiae. It contains human NADPH Reductase and cytochrome b5. It is used to catalyze the oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics and to study the biotransformation and elimination of drugs and pollutants from the body. Cytochrome P450 is used to study hormone synthesis and breakdown, cholesterol synthesis, drug metabolism and bioactivation and vitamin D metabolism[1].
생화학적/생리학적 작용
Microsomal cytochrome P450 enzymes are found primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum of liver tissue. They catalyze the oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics and are the major enzymes involved in drug metabolism and bioactivation[1]. The reactions are achieved through a mixed monooxygenase system. The cytochrome P450 enzymes range in molecular mass between 45-60 kDa.

P450 Activity: One unit will oxidize 1.0 picomole of 7-benzoxymethyloxy-3-cyanocoumarin per minute at pH 7.4 at 37 °C.
Reductase Activity: One unit will reduce 1 nanomole of cytochrome c per minute in the presence of NADPH at pH 7.8 at 25 °C.
Reductase Activity: One unit will reduce 1 nanomole of cytochrome c per minute in the presence of NADPH at pH 7.8 at 25 °C.
