Package and label change notice

What will be changed?

• The following items related to product packaging and labels will be changed to a new brand and color.

  • Package box
  • Product packaging container (plastic bag, etc.)
  • Product label
  • Product-related document layout (Spec Sheet, User Guide, MSDS, etc.)

• 2D barcodes conforming to the Global Standard One (GS1) will be added to most product labels. (If the product is small, it may be omitted.)

• Some useful information, such as disposal information, will be additionally displayed.

• The address on the label for existing Merck Millipore products will be changed from 290 Concord Rd, Billerica, MA to the new Life Science Center address, 400 Summit Drive, Burlington, Massachusetts 01803, USA.

What will be remained the same?

• The quality, function and characteristics of the product will be remained the same.

• The model number and lot numbering system will not change.

• There is no price policy change due to the integration of the brands.

• You can use your existing trading methods, including how to order. 

• Sigma-Aldrich's distinctive red cap will not be change.

• The Emprove® product line will no longer be different from the existing portfolio, other than being included under the SAFC® brand.

When will the new brand design be applied?

• New designs will be applied sequentially from newly produced products.

• Not all products are applied at the same time, and you will be able to receive a new design product after the stock of the existing design runs out.

• It is expected that many products will be replaced with new brand designs by 2018, but it may take some time for than 300,000 products to be replaced. In the process, existing designs and new designs can be sold at the same time.
