General description

LpDNPH H Series Cartridges (H30) are air sampling devices and its unique solid phase extraction configuration makes the cartridge easy to use in the field as well as in the laboratory. It is designed for sampling carbonyls in ambient, indoor, workplace, and source atmospheres. Carbonyls are trapped on a high purity silica adsorbent coated with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH), where they are converted to the hydrazone derivatives. The derivatives are eluted from the cartridge in acetonitrile and analyzed by HPLC.
The H series of LpDNPH cartridges contain higher loadings of 2,4-DNPH and/or larger bed weights compared the S10 series and Rezorian cartridges. This provides a higher capacity for carbonyls making the H series cartridges the preferred choice for use in high concentration environments. The H series is available in 3 sizes: H10 (350 mg), H30 (1 g) and H300 (10 g) cartridges.

Features and Benefits

LpDNPH cartridges feature:
  • High purity adsorbent, for better accuracy in trace analysis.
  • Low pressure drop, to enable use at high sampling rates (1.5-2 L/min.), even with personal sampling pumps.
  • Individual packaging, to maximize sample integrity.
  • Bar code labels, for fast and accurate sample identification.
