Bulevirtide is a synthetic lipopeptide derived from the preS1 domain of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) envelope protein that specifically binds to hepatocytes and efficiently blocks de novo HBV and its satellite virus hepatitis D (HDV) infection both in vitro and in vivo.
