General description

Tryptase β2 (TPSB2) gene codes for mast cell tryptase β2. It is expressed in whole blood by mast cells and their progenitors.[1] Mast cell βII-tryptase protein is a S1A protease.[2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tryptase β2 (TPSB2) can break down the large fibronectin substrate into multiple, smaller peptides ranging in size from approximately 30 to 50 kDa. It can also cleave fibrinogen. TPSB2 is associated with pathological inflammation.[2]

  1. Could you please provide information on whether the Human Tryptase beta-2 ELISA (RAB1754) is known to cross-react with mouse? Additionally, is there a prediction of potential cross-reactivity with mouse based on the sequence?

    1. The kit samples have not been tested with other species. Additionally, the epitope map has not been compared to mouse.
