General description

A 140 μm thick hydrophobic porous sealing film with medical-grade adhesive for tissue culture plates, bio-blocks, and 96-well plates where gas exchange is necessary for cell or bacterial growth. AeraSeal sealing films minimize cross-contamination, spillage and evaporation. They allow uniform air and CO2 exchange for all wells, unlike plate lids which favor exchange for wells near the plate edges. Dimensions: 82.6 by 142.9 mm for standard-size tissue culture plate
  • non-cytotoxic, highly gas permeable
  • easily pierceable with pipet tips or pipets for sample recovery
  • recommended for temperatures from -20 °C to +80 °C

Note: AeraSeal films are suitable for hypoxic culture conditions.

Application

  • AeraSeal films have been used for the covering of 96-well opaque white plates to incubate bacterial cells.
  • It has been used for the sealing of 96 deep-well plate for culturing of yeast cells.
  • It has been used for the sealing of 96-well microtitre plate to separate mites.

Features and Benefits

AeraSeal film is:
  • Sterile, non-cytotoxic and highly gas permeable for widest range of cultures
  • Easily pierceable for sample recovery with pipette tips or pipettes
  • Can be used from incubator to freezer - withstands temperatures from −20 °C to +80 °C
