The cyclic peptide Cereulide is a strong cytotoxin produced by some strains of Bacillus cereus and Bacillus megaterium. When ingested, it causes nausea and vomiting. It is both heat and acid stable and can be present mainly in stark-rich foods such as pasta or rice. This isotope-labelled certified reference material together with the native CRM solution 38708 is suitable to be used for ISO method 18465:2017 or similar LC-MS methods.
