General description

The DPPA5 (developmental pluripotency associated 5) protein is strongly expressed in primordial germ cells, and the expression is down-regulated during germ cell development.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 43-60 human DPPA5. The sequence is 85% identical in mouse and rat.

Application

Anti-DPPA5 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for immunohistochemistry at a working dilution of 1:100 to 1:250 and for immunoblotting at 1:500 to 1:1000.

Biochem/physiol Actions

DPPA5 is specifically and differentially expressed in human cells that have pluripotency and can be used as a marker of pluripotent stem cells.

Physical form

solution in phosphate buffered saline, containing 0.02% sodium azide.
