Quality Control Testing
Evaluated by Western Blotting in A549 cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected TFG in A549 cell lysate.
Tested Applications
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected TFG in lysates from HeLa and C6 cells and 1:10,000 dilution in Mouse brain tissue lysate.
Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound TFG peptide with a KD of 3.1 x 10-9 in an affinity binding assay.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected TFG in Human kidney tissue sections.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected TFG in HeLa cells.

Protein TFG (UniProt: Q92734; also known as TRK-fused gene protein) is encoded by the TFG gene (Gene ID: 10342) in human. TFG is a ubiquitous protein that is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and it plays a role in the normal dynamic function of ER and its associated microtubules. It is required for secretory cargo traffic from ER to the Golgi apparatus. It is involved in the transport of newly synthesized proteins to the endomembrane system via the Coat Protein complex II (COPII) transport vesicles. It is an essential component of type I interferon (IFN) antiviral response. It serves as a TRAF3-interacting protein that positively regulates the RIG-I-Like receptors (RLR)-dependent type I IFN antiviral response. It is reported to be essential for the formation of the MAVS-TRAF3-TBK1 complex and activation of TBK1 upon RLR activation. TFG is shown to be essential for the phosphorylation of mTOR on serine 2159, a putative TBK1 phosphoacceptor site. Mutations in TFG gene have been linked to several neurodegenerative diseases, including hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy with proximal dominant involvement, the axonal type of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and hereditary spastic paraplegia. Four isoforms of TFG have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
