Leucyl-cystinyl aminopeptidase (UniProt: Q9UIQ6; also known as EC:3.4.11.3, Cystinyl aminopeptidase, Insulin-regulated membrane aminopeptidase, Insulin-responsive aminopeptidase, IRAP, Oxytocinase, OTase, Placental leucine aminopeptidase, P-LAP) is encoded by the LNPEP (also known as OTASE) gene (Gene ID: 4012) in human. LENPEP/IRAP is a zinc-dependent aminopeptidase that cleaves vasopressin, oxytocin, dynorphin A and other peptide hormones and is involved in the inactivation of neuronal peptides. It is a single-pass type II membrane protein with a cytoplasmic domain (aa 1-110), a transmembrane domain (aa 111-131), and a large extracellular domain (aa 132-1025). It is highly expressed in placenta, heart, kidney, and small intestine. Lower levels are detected in neuronal cells, skeletal muscle, spleen, liver, testes, and colon. In the brain tissue only a membrane-bound form is reported. It resides in intracellular vesicles together with GLUT4. and can then translocate to the cell surface in response to insulin and/or oxytocin. Cleavage of membrane-bound LENPEP/IRAP between residues 154-155 generates a pregnancy serum form that plays a role in maintaining homeostasis during pregnancy. Three isoforms of LENPEP/IRAP have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
