Application
Somatostatin has been used in cell culture. It has also been used in the study of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity in monolayer cultures of thyroid epithelial cells.

This is not a sterile powder. Stock solutions should be filter sterilized prior to use.

Can I reconstitute Somatostatin in sterile water or PBS?

This product can be reconstituted in sterile water at 1mg/mL. While it is very likely soluble at this rate in PBS as well, we have not tested the product to confirm.
