ビオチン結合ウシ血清アルブミンは、リンパ組織の様々な血管サブセットに選択的に結合することが、蛍光及び酵素組織化学の両手法によって示されており、そのため、リンパ組織の特定の細小血管内皮を同定するための組織化学的プローブとなります。脾臓では、ビオチン-BSAは赤脾髄の脾洞に結合し、白脾髄の血管（中心細動脈を含む）や辺縁洞には結合しません。胸腺では、目立った結合は皮髄境界部の毛細血管に限られていました。
ビオチン標識ウシアルブミンは、ミオシンVの処理能力の実験の構成要素として使用されています。また、NeutrAvidinコーティングに対するビオチンタグを供給するほか、テンションゲージテザー（TGT）表面の調製中に非特異的な細胞接着を抑制するためにも使用されています。
