General description

N-Nitrosodi-n-butylamines (NDBAs) are classified under the N-nitrosamine family of compounds which are considered as trace organic contaminants (TrOC) in drinking water and reclaimed effluent.

Application

NDBA has been used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in water by solid phase extraction (SPE) combined with gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry and in meat products by SPE combined with gas chromatography-nitrogen chemiluminescence detection (GC-NCD). It may be used as a reference standard for the analysis of residual NDBA in wastewater after reverse osmosis and UV treatment processes with SPE followed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (SPE-LC-MS).
