Gene Information

human ... LRP5(4041)

General description

Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 5 or LRP5 functions as a co-receptor for the Wnt signaling complex. LRP5 is involved in various processes such as bone mass regulation, pulmonary angiogenesis, and alveolar synthesis . Monoclonal Anti-LRP5 antibody is specific for LRP5 in humans.

Immunogen

LRP5 (NP_002326.1, 41 a.a. ~ 130 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.

Angiogenesis is crucial for lung development. Although there has been considerable exploration, the mechanism by which lung vascular and alveolar formation is controlled is still not completely understood. Here we show that low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 5 (LRP5), a component

The human skeleton is affected by mutations in low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 5 (LRP5). To understand how LRP5 influences bone properties, we generated mice with osteocyte-specific expression of inducible Lrp5 mutations that cause high and low bone mass phenotypes in
