Gene Information

human ... CAMK2B(816)

General description

Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II β (CAMK2B) is part of the Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily and the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The gene encoding CAMK2B is localized on human chromosome 7. Anti-CAMK2 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CAMK2 protein.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CaMK2-beta/gamma/delta.

Immunogen Range: 253-302

Application

Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.
Western Blotting (1 paper)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II β (CAMK2B) may bind to calmodulin. It has been associated with major depressive disorder.
