Gene Information

General description

Anti-NF-κB p65 antibody detects endogenous levels of total NF-κB p65 protein.
The NF-κB p65 (nuclear factor κ-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells p65) gene is mapped to human chromosome 11q13.1. It codes for a transcription factor, a subunit of NF-κB.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human NF-kappaB p65.

Immunogen Range: 278-327

Application

Anti-NF-κB p65 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blot analysis.

Biochem/physiol Actions

NF-κB p65 (nuclear factor κ-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells p65) is associated with many fibrotic diseases such as liver fibrosis and cardiac fibrosis. Cell proliferation, inflammation, and apoptosis are some of the processes mediated by NF-κB p65. Dysregulation of the gene results in chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders and cancer. NF-κB p65 plays an important role in NF-κB signaling.
