Prochlorperazine is an anti-nausea and neuroleptic agent. It is known to cause neuropsychiatric side effects.[1] Prochlorperazine inhibits the action of dopamine in the central nervous system. It acts as an antiemetic drug and prevents vomiting and stimulates sleep. Prochlorperazine is useful as a tranquilizer in the treatment of schizophrenia and nonpsychotic anxiety.[2]
