Gene Information

human ... HOXA10(3206)

General description

The homeobox A10 (HOXA10) protein is localized in the adult human endometrium. The HOXA10 gene is mapped on the human chromosome at 7p15.2.

Specificity

Anti-HOXA10 (N-terminal) recognizes human HOXA10 (also known as Hox-1H and HOX-1).

Application

Anti-HOXA10 (N-terminal) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Homeobox A10 (HOXA10) protein is critical for the normal development of the erythroid and megakaryocytic lineages. The expression of the HOXA10 gene was found to be altered in endometriosis. HOXA10 protein plays a role in mediating endometrial development during the menstrual cycle. This protein is also involved in preparing the endometrium for implantation in humans.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

For continuous use, store at 2–8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilutions should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.

Endometriosis is a poorly understood gynaecologic disorder that is associated with infertility. In this study, we examined the expression of HOXA10 in the eutopic endometrium of baboons with induced endometriosis. A decrease in HOXA10 mRNA was observed after 3, 6

The homeobox A (HOXA) region of protein-coding genes impacts female reproductive system embryogenesis and ovarian carcinogenesis. The 5-prime end of HOXA includes three long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) (HOXA10-AS, HOXA11-AS, and HOTTIP) that are underexplored in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). We
