Biochem/physiol Actions

Dehydroepiandrosterone is a sulfated neurosteroid, abundantly present in the brain. It is a strong allosteric modulator of GABAA receptors and has antiseizure and anesthetic properties.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with 11 ml 0.1 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 0.1 M gelatin and 15 mM sodium azide.
