General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. This product is a biobased surfactant and is aligned with the 7th principle of Green Chemistry "Use of Renewable Feedstocks" and the 10th principle "Design for Degradation".

TWEEN 65 is a fatty acid polyoxyethylene ester of sorbitan.

Application

TWEEN 65 has been used in a study as a carbon source for the reductive dechlorination of hexachlorobenzene in a mixed, methanogenic culture. It has also been used in a study to investigate its ability to stimulate growth of the hypocotyl of Amaranthus caudatus L.
