General description

ETH 500 is a lipophilic electrolyte mostly used as an anionic additive.
Visit our Sensor Applications portal to learn more.

Application

ETH 500 has been used in the preparation of:
  • molecularly imprinted polymers, which can be used during potentiometric sensing method for determining neutral phenols.
  • copolymer Ca2+ selective membrane cocktail during electrochemical impedance spectroscopic analysis to study the water intake and layer formation in ion-selective electrode.

Other Notes

Highly lipophilic additive for membranes of neutral carrier-based ion-selective macroelectrodes; Additive in membranes of optodes

Two novel all-solid-state potentiometric sensors for the determination of azide ion are prepared and described here for the first time. The sensors are based on the use of iron II-phthalocyanine (Fe-PC) neutral carrier complex and nitron-azide ion-pair complex (Nit-N₃-) as

Polymeric membrane potentiometric sensors based on molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been successfully designed for the detection of organic compounds both in ionic and neutral forms. However, most of these sensors are based on the non-covalent recognition interactions between the
