General description

Isopentyl acetate is an alarm pheromone present in honey bees, which may affect the brain and hence, provoke a quick defensive response, thereby influencing their behavior for a longer period of time.

Application

Isopentyl acetate may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in fruits, wine, and aqueous solutions of alcohols by various gas chromatography (GC) based techniques.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
