General description

(E)-Mevinphos is the E-isomer of the organophosphorus insecticide, mevinphos, used to control chewing and sucking insect pests in crop production. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity in insect pests.

Application

(E)-Mevinphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in groundwater samples using automated online liquid-solid extraction followed by liquid chromatography-atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (LC/APCI-MS).
