General description

Amoxicillin trihydrate is a β-lactam antibiotic. It is a broad-spectrum drug mostly administered orally.1 It is used to treat bacterial infections mainly caused by susceptible microorganisms.2

Amoxicillin trihydrate may be used as reference standard in stability study of Amoxicillin-Clavulanate in BACTEC Medium performed using HPLC.3
