General description

This unique formulation of cell culture freezing media is for cryopreservation of a broad spectrum of mammalian cells (see viability data). The reagents used in these products are certified to be virus and mycoplasma free.

Contains 10% DMSO, calf & fetal bovine serum

Application

Cell Culture Freezing Media - DMSO, liquid has been used:
  • to dissolve temozolomide (TMZ), a DNA methylating agent, for treating U251 cells
  • in 2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay to assess cell viability of TMZ treated U251 cells
  • for reconstituting RepSox (a Transforming growth factor (TGF)-β/ALK5 inhibitor) and SB431542 (TGF-β inhibitor) to prepare stock solutions
  • as vehicle control for the measurement of transendothelial electrical resistance (TEER) time-course in human pluripotent stem cell-derived endothelial cells (hPSC-ECs) treated with RepSox and SB431542
