General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is a single-use filtration device made of black, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with a pink base with cellulose support pad. It provides a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration, by avoiding the exposure to the risks of microbiological analysis. These filtration units are designed for optimizing and securing the laboratory workflow to provide time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. The innovative funnel assembly design prevents any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. These filtration units are e-beam irrated, a vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area during membrane transfer, to protect samples from contamination. The EZ-FIT® Azure feature provide a view from any angle through the clear, and transparent funnel material at the end of the filtration process. These filtration units conform to international standards and minimize sample residue. The units can be stacked to save the work area. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads.

Application

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is used to check for bioburden in liquid samples including in-process and final product samples (beverages, pharmaceuticals and water). This product is also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.
