Specificity

Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). By Western blot the antibody reacts with recombinant BDNF protein and also detects the ~28 kDa proBDNF protein in rat brain extracts. The antibody shows no cross reactivity with NGF, NT3 or NT4/5 by Western blot.

This Anti-Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor Antibody is validated for use in WB for the detection of Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor.
Western blot: 1:500-1:2,000

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Rabbit serum. Lyophilized. Reconstitute with 50 μL of sterile distilled water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage and Stability

Maintain lyophilized material at -20 to -70°C for up to 12 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
