General description

Native ceruloplasmin from human plasma. Serum copper transport and iron-oxidizing protein. Plays an important role in antioxidant protection against organic and inorganic oxygen radicals generated by iron and ascorbate.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 100 mM KCl, 50 mM potassium phosphate buffer, 20 mM ε-aminocaproic acid, 5 mM EDTA, pH 6.8.

Preparation Note

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock Solutions are stable for up to 4 months at -20°C.
