General description

Streptavidin conjugated to TEXAS RED® fluorescent dye. Specific for biotin, biotinylated proteins, or biotinylated antibodies.

Application

ELISA (1:2000-1:5000)

Flow Cytometry (1:50-1:200)

Immunohistochemistry (1:50-1:200)

Packaging

Please refer to vial label for lot-specific concentration.

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

In 50 mM bicarbonate-borate buffer, 0.9% NaCl, 5 mg/ml BSA, pH 8.1.

Reconstitution

Do not dilute the entire sample at one time. Withdraw aliquots as needed with a micropipette and dilute with 1% solution of BSA in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4 and 0.05% sodium azide.

Other Notes

Biotin activity, absorbance ratio, and label:protein molar ratio are determined on a lot-specific basis. Use 1 to 3 µg of the conjugate per 1 x 106 cells suspended in a volume of 0.1 ml. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
