Method
In an ammoniacal medium copper(II) ions react with cuprizone to form a blue
complex. The copper concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color fields of a color disk. By the addition of hydrogen peroxide copper(I) ions can be measured at the same time. The test evaluates the color reaction based on the transmitted light method. So even turbid and colored water samples can be analyzed without further preparation.
The color disk is made of very durable, lightfast plastic, thus suitable for industrial areas and wet environments.
Using the refill pack 1.18459 containing all the reagents, the original test kit can be used for a very long time, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
Application
- Discussion on the Mechanism of Gandoufumu Decoction Attenuates Liver Damage of Wilson′s Disease by Inhibiting Autophagy through the PI3K/Akt/mTOR Pathway Based on Network Pharmacology and Experimental Verification: This study explores a herbal decoction′s influence on liver damage in Wilson′s disease, with the copper assay kit used to monitor cellular copper levels as part of the experimental setup (Tang et al., 2023).
