General description

Potassium iodine paper is used for the determination of oxidizing agents. In contact with oxidizing agents such as sulfite or sulfur dioxide, it turns blue. This is a qualitative test paper, telling whether oxidizing agents are in the sample or not. For a semiquantitative or quantitative result, please consider a test for a specific oxidizing agent from our MQuant®, Reflectoquant® or Spectroquant® portfolio.
