General description

Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine sold over the counter under the trade name Benadryl® and in other over the counter medications such as Tylenol PM, Advil PM, and Excedrin PM. Dihydramine is also consumed recreationally as a euphoriant and a deliriant.

Application

  • Hepatoprotective effects of polyphenols: Studies on the hepatoprotective effects of polyphenol-enriched fractions against oxidative stress in Acetaminophen-induced liver injury incorporate the analysis of Acetaminophen Related Compound D. This research underscores its relevance in pharmacology and toxicology, providing a deeper understanding of drug-induced liver injuries and potential therapeutic approaches (Wu et al., 2017).
