General description

16:0-18:2 PA or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate is a sodium salt of phosphatidic acid, with substitution of palmitic acid and linolenic acid at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions respectively, in the glycerol backbone.

Application

16:0-18:2 PA or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (sodium salt) has been used to study the effect of phosphatidic acid (PA) on the cytoplasmic calcium ([Ca2+]cyt) fluctuation in Arabidopsis guard cells by fluorescence imaging. It might be used as a standard in thin-layer chromatography (TLC) for the separation of ginger and grapefruit exosome-like nanoparticles (ELN)-derived lipids. It might also be used in filter-blotting assay, to study the interaction of AT-hook motif-containing nuclear localized protein 4 (Ahl4) with PA.

Lipid catabolism in germinating seeds provides energy and substrates for initial seedling growth, but how this process is regulated is not well understood. Here, we show that an AT-hook motif-containing nuclear localized (AHL) protein regulates lipid mobilization and fatty acid

The gut microbiota can be altered by dietary interventions to prevent and treat various diseases. However, the mechanisms by which food products modulate commensals remain largely unknown. We demonstrate that plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles (ELNs) are taken up by the gut
